NSW Government calls Expressions of Interest to prepare for light rail in Parramatta
6 October 2017Expressions of Interest have been called for preparation works for Parramatta Light Rail, bringing to four the number of contracts recently released for the project.
Suitably qualified companies are invited to register for the Enabling Works, which includes adjustments to the road network, stormwater drainage and utilities relocation, urban design, architecture and landscaping.
Expressions of Interest were called last month to design and construct Stage 1 light rail infrastructure; and to supply, operate and maintain the Stage 1 system and light rail vehicles.
World-leading international and Australian companies specialising in delivering state-of-the-art light rail networks are expected to submit proposals for the project.
The call for Expressions of Interest for these three contracts will ensure they can be awarded next year and construction can begin in 2018.
Expressions of Interest for the remediation of the project stabling and maintenance facility and operations control centre at Camellia closed last month.
