Since the NSW Government announced a preferred light rail network for Parramatta in December 2015, Transport for NSW has been consulting with stakeholders to identify a route that supports growth, benefits local communities and is technically feasible. Light rail is at the core of planning with a number of important precincts and Transport for NSW continues to work with the community on creating great places to live, work and visit.

Thank you to everyone who attended our community pop-ups and participated in the online survey for Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1. We’re using your feedback and responses to help inform the next stage of the project, including preparing the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). There will be more opportunities for the community to have their say on the project when the EIS goes on display in mid-2017.
